As we transition from the football field to the confines of a gym, we would like to thank our Lion fans for the spirit you show and your support of our sports programs. We would also like to remind everyone that if you are ejected from any UIL athletic event, you are banned from all District 7-3A athletic events for an entire calendar year. This is a District 7-3A rule that all members of the district adhere to and support. #ProudtobeaLION

Here is our cafeteria menu for the December.

Congratulations to VHS senior Kell Castleberry for being named to the Class 4A Texas High School Coaches Association Super Elite Team for Team Tennis. Only 7 boys from across the state were selected for the team, and Kell was the only one who is from Class 3A.

Earlier this week, Vernon High School was presented this banner and a donation to the CNA program for having the most blood donations at a high school within our district during 2022-23. This was the second year for VHS to win this award. April Maldonado, the CNA instructor, said she was excited and thankful that her students have the opportunity to teach all students the importance of their blood donations and the many lives those donations are able to save.

High school yearbooks are wonderful keepsakes stuffed with great memories of one of the greatest times of our lives. Unfortunately, not every student is financially able to purchase a yearbook. The VHS Yearbook Department now has a way to help those students.

We are currently taking nominations for our Gifted & Talented Program for every campus. If you know a student you would like to nominate, please contact the counselor at the student's campus for more information.
