I began my education career as a paraprofessional at Vernon Middle School in the spring of 2001. Then I was go with e with two of my students to the high school level, when a special education teaching position came open. I worked at VHS as a special education resource English/Social Studies teacher from August 2001-May 2016. During that time, I was also the cheer coach for 8 years. In August 2016, I moved to Central Elementary to work as the 3rd grade special education teacher.
I am married to Wayne Hodges, who is a police sergeant for the Vernon Police Department. We have three girls. One is in college at Oklahoma Baptist University, and the other two are students in Vernon. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 fish.
My family enjoys watching football, especially the Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Cowboys. We love going fishing, bike rides, camping, cooking out, and playing card games.
